Who we care for:
CARE FOR BABIES
Our Bowen Therapy, Reflexology and Supportive Nursing Therapy offer opportunities to support your babies specific needs. Bowen Therapy is a gentle form of body therapy where the therapist uses subtle moves on muscles, fascia and connective tissue which may activate nerve impulses to stimulate the relaxation and innate (natural) healing response of the body. It may be considered for babies who have colic or sluggish digestion, neck restrictions or feeding problems. Reflexology is nurturing and relaxing. It may help the young recover from illness, be helpful for those born with a disability and may assist to improve the intellectual and physical development of children with learning difficulties.
Supportive nursing: Supporting the developmental rhythms of childhood, is an important part of the lifespan care offered. It can support the rhythms of feeding, digestion and sleep.
CARE FOR CHILDREN
We have extensive experience working with children with learning, emotional and social obstacles. Our experienced therapists create individualised programmes for each child, which may include therapeutic movement, clay, play and creative exercises. We also support children through physical illnesses, fevers and childhood illnesses.
CARE FOR TEENS & ADULTS
Aurora offers a wide range of therapy modalities for adults. The collective diversity of our therapeutic team supports recovery from issues such as physical illnesses (acute and chronic), trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and self-harming.
CARE FOR PALLIATIVE CLIENTS
Palliative support is woven around the holistic understanding of people and runs a parallel path with medical care. Care such as foot baths, compresses and rhythmical body oiling, can support mood, sleep, fear, grief and pain. One’s sense of self may be warmed and strengthened.
